Payroll Specialist

Location: Remote Salary Range: Flexible About the Role You will manage payroll for our international clients, primarily in Italy, ensuring timely and accurate salary payments, benefits, and reports. You will coordinate with clients, local partners, and internal teams for seamless payroll services. Responsibilities End-to-end payroll management: Handle payroll for multiple clients, focusing initially on Italy, ensuring smooth data flow between clients and payroll partners. Reporting & record-keeping: Prepare and reconcile payroll reports, maintaining detailed records. Data validation: Collect, verify, and enter payroll data, checking for inaccuracies and resolving issues. Compliance & research: Stay updated on tax and payment regulations in Italy and other assigned countries, collaborating with local accountants to meet legal requirements. Client support: Build professional relationships, respond promptly to payroll queries, and meet deadlines. Cross-team collaboration: Work with Customer Experience, Accounting, Operations, and other teams to gather inputs, resolve discrepancies, and support payroll processes. Requirements Professional background: Minimum 2 years of relevant Italian payroll experience; global payroll exposure is a plus. Knowledge of payroll best practices. Education: Understanding of economics, accounting, and financial concepts. Technical skills: Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word. Soft skills: Excellent English communication skills, analytical thinking, attention to detail, multitasking ability, and adaptability to a fast-paced international environment. Bonus Points Experience in international or multicultural teams. Knowledge of global payroll practices. Familiarity with payroll software or HRIS platforms.
