About the Role : Our team, composed of 13 Process Engineers and Chemical Engineering Experts, within the Group Engineering & Construction (GEC) Department of the Industrial Function, focuses on providing technical support to all Global Business Units (GBUs) of the Solvay Group, maximizing the performance of their Industrial Assets and managing their Industrial Investment Projects including Remediation Projects. As an Environment Process Specialist, you will work on designing new installations, modifying existing installations, and improving the performance of Water, Air & Waste Water Treatment Plants to support the GBUs. You will contribute to regulatory compliance while optimizing investment and operational costs, positively impacting the sustainability and efficiency of Solvay's industrial processes. You will be accountable for : Performing, contributing to, or supervising Environmental Studies related to Water, Air, and Liquid Effluent Treatment. Serving as the first point of contact for GBUs on technical matters related to Water, Air, and Liquid Effluent Treatment, including cooling towers and boilers. Maintaining and developing know-how on relevant processes, including staying updated on evolving techniques, managing documentation, and conducting technical watch for regulatory changes. Developing partnerships with laboratories to pre-qualify water treatment processes. Demonstrating the feasibility, competitiveness, innovation, and sustainability of chosen solutions, and preparing process development programs. Developing and managing on-site pilot tests to validate technical data for industrial unit sizing. Conducting training activities for colleagues. About You : Master's degree in Environmental Management (Water & Environmental Engineering) or equivalent through significant and recognized experience. 10 to 15 years of experience in the Environmental Domain (in Plant, Laboratory, or support activity). Thorough knowledge of Treatment Methods (Physical, Physico-chemical, Chemical, Biological, Air treatment technologies) and applicable Calculation tools. In-depth knowledge of Water, Air, and Liquid Effluent Treatment processes. Proficiency in applying regulatory guidelines of different countries. Ability to use and develop design tools for environmental studies. Strong understanding of Best Available Technologies and key equipment / service vendors. Experience in developing and managing pilot tests. Behaviors : Strong Customer Orientation. Proactive cooperation and ability to take initiative. Autonomy and rigor. Clear oral and written communication in French and English (mandatory). About the pay and benefits Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The Italy base pay is reasonably expected to be between 67,000 EUR and 83,000 EUR, but may vary based on skills and experience.
