The role will involve providing care in a stepdown unit. Candidates should have experience with critical care patients, including those with STEMI, hypertension crisis, chest pain, and post-surgical patients. Nurse to patient ratios are typically 2:1 or 1:1 to 3:1 in critical care settings. Charting will be conducted using an electronic health record system. The schedule will require every other weekend. There may be a need to float to other areas based on skillset. Special procedures may include TEE, bedside bronch, targeted temperature management, and ECMO. Candidates must be prepared to accept or decline an offer within 48 hours.
