The Position : The Global Medical Information Manager is a key member of the Global Medical Affairs team at Alfasigma. Reporting to the Global Medical Information Lead, this role is responsible for ensuring the provision of accurate, timely, and compliant responses to unsolicited medical information requests. The position also supports associated operational activities across the Alfasigma portfolio and global regions. The role includes the following key responsibilities (listed in order of priority) : Manage Escalated Enquiries : Monitor the medical information escalation inbox and provide scientifically accurate, fair, and balanced responses to escalated medical information requests, in compliance with applicable regulations and company SOPs / policies. Develop Non-Standard Responses : Collaborate with Alfasigma subject matter experts to create and deliver responses to non-standard or complex medical information enquiries. Maintain Medical Content Repository : Support the creation, review, and maintenance of standard response documents and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for assigned products. Content Development and Scientific Support : Identify and synthesize relevant scientific data to develop high-quality medical information content tailored to global and regional needs. Vendor and Affiliate Collaboration : Liaise with global medical information vendors, affiliates, and business partners to ensure alignment and consistency in responses across regions. Data Analysis and Insights : Conduct regular analysis of medical enquiries to identify trends, content needs, and contribute to actionable medical insights. Stakeholder Coordination : Coordinate internally and externally to ensure timely dissemination of response documents to address queries from healthcare professionals and patients. Congress Support : Provide medical information support at international congresses, including managing booth-related activities. Training and Compliance : Support training initiatives for affiliate teams and contribute to audit / inspection readiness, including resolution of Medical Information-related CAPAs. Process Improvement : Contribute to the continuous improvement of global medical information processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Requirements : Minimum of 5 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry in a matrix environment (e.g., Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, Pharmacovigilance). At least 2 years of experience in Medical Information at the regional level (e.g., Europe); global experience preferred. Experience handling inquiries for both prescription (Rx) and consumer healthcare (CHC) or non-prescription products is an advantage. Master’s degree (MSc) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required. Advanced degrees (e.g., MD, PhD) are highly preferred. In-depth knowledge of medical information best practices, regulatory requirements, industry codes of practice, and SOPs. Proven ability to analyze and interpret scientific literature accurately and effectively. Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing vendor relationships. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex information. High proficiency with relevant digital tools and platforms (e.g., Medical Information databases, Veeva PromoMats, literature search tools). Excellent written and spoken English; fluency is essential.
