Learn more at / Role Purpose As an Ansys Lead Application Engineer, you will work with a variety of customers in your application area of cloud / HPC vertical solutions deployment and become a credible advisor for improving your customers' product development. You will lead technical efforts in vertical application deployment, focusing on the scalability, robustness, and performance of our developed solutions. Working at the intersection of IT infrastructure and development, you will play a role in shaping the success of deploying our technology in real-world environments across various industries and guide other team members in scaling our solutions. This includes owning the design and execution of stress tests, refining deployment templates, and establishing best practices for containerization, Kubernetes orchestration, and CI/CD integration. Your leadership will ensure that our solutions are production-ready and can scale confidently across diverse IT environments. You will lead multidisciplinary teams to develop end-to-end simulation solutions and help expand our application areas and industry knowledge. Key Duties and Responsibilities Provide proactive and results-oriented leadership in planning, coordinating, and executing all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle, including discovery, success criteria negotiation, product presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations. Work independently and responsibly across teams and organizations. Interact with customers to understand their key business initiatives, product development needs, and design workflows; analyze how Ansys products and platforms can meet and exceed customer goals and improve key performance indicators; communicate the Ansys value proposition to senior management. Lead project teams to develop differentiated yet reusable simulation solutions using the Ansys platform and deploy these solutions within customers' design workflows. Lead the delivery of professional services, providing customer consulting. Design, implement, and optimize scalable, secure, and high-performing deployment architectures using Kubernetes and container technologies, including performance and scalability testing, and proactively resolving system bottlenecks. Contribute to architecture decisions and strategic planning, ensuring deployment frameworks and platform scalability align with emerging trends in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and automation. Minimum Education / Certification Requirements and Experience BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or related fields. Minimum years of professional experience: BS8, MS6, or PhD3. Demonstrated use of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other CAE, CAD, EDA, or PLM software. Understanding of engineering practices and product development, experience with simulation technology deployment within customer workflows. Track record of delivering exceptional customer outcomes and revenue impact. Strong leadership, mentoring skills, and excellent communication in English. Ability to manage multiple complex projects with a sense of urgency. Proven experience (5 years) leading application deployments in production environments. Expertise in Kubernetes, container orchestration, DevOps pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi), performance testing, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). Proficient in Python scripting for automation and API integration. Preferred Qualifications and Skills Additional experience: BS12, MS10, PhD7 years. 4 years in application engineering, customer support, or consulting roles. Effective interaction with senior management and C-level executives. Basic knowledge of programming languages such as C# (.NET), JavaScript, HTML. Familiarity with agile project management.
