Join us to shape our future—and yours. For more information, click here. The role reports to: FemCare R&D Deployment Manager. Location: Pomezia - Santa Palomba (Italy). Travel: 10-20% potentially. Role Responsibilities The Senior Scientist FemCare R&D will be responsible for executing projects aligned with brand strategy, demonstrating rigor and organizational knowledge, and embedding sustainability. This role provides technical expertise in Engineered Products / Feminine Care and R&D leadership for project execution, focusing on human-centered insights and cross-functional collaboration. Key responsibilities include: Deliver engineered product development and scale-up for Feminine Care products. Optimize engineered ingredients to meet objectives and raw material availability. Support technical R&D functions, define execution pathways, ensure deliverables are on track, and assist in technical problem-solving. Operate semi-independently within technical direction. Execute pipeline activities, including evaluation of new materials. Support product science visualization in partnership with translational science colleagues. Manage technical project work, including scale-up activities and analysis. Maintain organizational processes and manage complexity. Provide guidance and solutions to technical problems. Communicate progress and updates to cross-functional teams. Ensure compliance with quality, medical, and regulatory standards. Prepare comprehensive development documentation. Technical Understanding Deliver expertise in engineered product technologies for Feminine Care, optimize ingredients, and coordinate with external partners to support new product development. Additional Responsibilities Monitor equipment operations and maintain laboratory cleanliness. Stay informed about emerging technologies and their applications. Manage partnerships with global hubs and external collaborators. Prepare project budgets, proposals, reports, and manage project portfolios. Identify and develop new business or work processes to share knowledge. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or Pharmacy. At least 2 years of relevant experience. Experience with engineered products such as diapers, feminine napkins, tampons, etc. Experience in FMCG Cosmetics, OTC, or pharmaceutical industries. Solid technical foundation in material chemistry and manufacturing processes. Fluent in English; German language skills are desirable. Process development and scale-up experience preferred.
