You are a skilled and proactive Software Development Engineer with a passion for industrial automation and control systems. As a Software Development Engineer at Alfa Laval, you will be responsible for managing several mid- to large-scale software projects in parallel, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and specify complete automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and control panels. Your responsibilities will include: Engineering complete automation systems and creating technical documentation (FDS, O&M manuals, FAT protocols) Writing RFQs for automation components based on input from process and electrical engineers Specifying all parts of control systems for components, systems, and plants Collaborating with purchasing to manage suppliers Supporting proposal and sales activities Optimizing project costs through efficient design and procurement Providing remote or on-site support for commissioning and troubleshooting Mentoring and coaching junior automation engineers, reviewing their work and guiding problem resolution What you know ?
