Job Description

Are you a detail-oriented financial professional with a strong command of US GAAP and a passion for compliance and control? A prominent, multinational logistics and freight forwarding company is seeking a Financial Controller to join its finance team in Kinshasa, DRC. This expatriate role offers the opportunity to lead financial reporting, ensure regulatory compliance, and support strategic financial operations in a high-impact environment. Key Responsibilities: Manage the general ledger and ensure that financial reporting aligns with US GAAP. Coordinate compliance requirements and administer accounting systems. Liaise with Internal and External Auditors to maintain audit readiness. Oversee financial reporting procedures and ensure adherence to strict deadlines. Support the design and implementation of internal control systems. Complete Sarbanes-Oxley documentation for the corporation's compliance. Assist with treasury directives, cash management, and tax compliance. Conduct risk assessments and collaborate with operations to safeguard company assets. Lead and mentor general administration and reporting staff. Provide financial input for budget preparation. Requirements To Meet Prior To Applying: CPA (US) or CA qualification required. Minimum 5 years accounting experience, with Big 4 audit experience preferred. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Exposure to foreign exchange and financial operations in developing countries. Fluent in French and English.
