THE ROLE You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where junior and senior scientists collaborate, each with their expertise, to carry out a scientific activity with a shared research goal. The “ 3D Chromatin Conformation and RNA Genomics ” Research Line is coordinated byDr. Dafne Campigli Di Giammartino.Her team applies cutting-edge genomic technologies to map the 3D organization of chromatin, aiming to understand how RNA molecules can shape chromatin’s architecture under physiological and pathological conditions. Within the research team, your main responsibilities will be: Supporting senior lab members inperforming DNA/RNA extractions, western blots, DNA cloning, PCR/qPCR, cell culture maintenance,etc.; Adapting, modifying, or developingnew techniques and/or procedures to satisfy the needs of the lab research project/s; Recordingexperimental data in both paper and electronic format; Organizing laboratory equipment and supplies; Performingroutine maintenance of laboratory equipment; Communicating effectively with team members and laboratory staff; Maintaininga clean and organized work environment. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS Scientific bachelor’s or master’s Degree in Cellular/Molecular Biology or Biochemistry; Hands-on laboratory experience in basic molecular biology techniques handling RNA, DNA and proteins; Familiarity with cell culture maintenance under sterile conditions; Strong attention to detail in performing protocols with accuracy, reliability and precision; High motivation to learn and ability to work autonomously and/or under the supervision of a senior researcher; Strong problem-solving attitude and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; Friendly, collaborative, pro-active mindset; Good oral and written English. ADDITIONAL SKILLS Previous research experience in the RNA field, the stem cells field, and familiarity with CRISPR-(d)Cas technologies are desirable skills but not required.
