Job Description

EPG Italy European Pizza Group (E.P.G.) is a Joint Venture between the world's largest food company, Nestlé, and Equity Fund PAI Partners. Established in September 2023, the JV aims to develop the frozen pizza business by creating a focused, agile, and resource-backed entity to succeed in this competitive market. EPG operates in Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Benelux, and Austria, with two leading brands: Wagner and Buitoni. R&D Product and Process Specialist The position is based in the Technical R&D Unit, responsible for research, development, industrialization, and continuous improvement of products, as well as developing new products. Main scope Ensure the development of new products and manage the improvement of existing products through close collaboration with factories. Main Tasks / Activities Support the R&D team in developing new technologies and product evolution (new products, improvements to existing ones). Improve performance of existing products and production systems. Provide technical sheets supporting factories. Coordinate and supervise trials for new process technologies and machinery, measured by KPIs. Participate in designing new machinery or modifying existing ones with technical teams. Manage development, scale-up, and implementation of new technologies to enhance product performance. Serve as a technological resource to develop a robust pipeline of product opportunities. Leverage food processing expertise to improve operational standards and training for pizza production. Support product formulation considering ingredient, nutritional, regulatory, and analytical requirements. Implement cost reduction ideas for products, processes, and equipment. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology, Food Engineering, Biology, or equivalent. 2-3 years of professional experience in a food factory within Production or R&D departments. Proficiency in MS Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel). Professional proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus. Project management skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to manage complexity. Availability for business trips, mainly within Europe. SAP knowledge. Location and Contract Benevento, Italy. Full-time, permanent contract.
