Process Specialist (Utilities) - Italy, Milan - 6-12 Months Contract Our client is a global biopharmaceutical company headquartered in Europe. With a strong presence in over 50 countries and more than 5000 employees, the company focuses on treatments for diseases. The corporation are making a significant investment expanding their operations and completing an expansion project in Northern Italy. They are therefore seeking a Process Specialist (Utilities),to deliver this large-scale programme, over the coming years to enable their growth, globally. Responsibilities: Lead the design and specification of utility systems including WFI, clean steam, compressed air, nitrogen, HVAC, and chilled water. Collaborate with process engineers, architects, and MEP consultants to ensure seamless integration of utilities into facility design. Develop and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). Define utility loads and consumption forecasts based on process requirements. Ensure all utility systems meet cGMP, FDA, and EU Annex 1 standards. Support Design Qualification (DQ) and participate in commissioning and qualification (C&Q) activities. Prepare and maintain documentation for validation protocols, URS, and Turn Over Packages (TOP). Identify and mitigate risks related to utility system design and operation.
