We are hiring a Data Engineer We're looking for a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to play a key role in building and optimizing our data platform for a global financial client. In this role, you will design and develop scalable data pipelines, lakehouse architectures, and robust APIs, all while enabling front-end analytics solutions for real-time insights. This position blends deep data engineering expertise with full-stack capabilities to help shape the future of data in finance. Key Responsibilities Data Pipeline Development & Optimization : Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to handle structured and unstructured data from diverse sources. Data Architecture : Lead the design and implementation of data lakes and lakehouses, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security. Big Data & Warehousing : Develop solutions using modern cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, or BigQuery. API & Integration Development : Build RESTful APIs to enable seamless integration between data services and business applications. Analytics & Dashboarding : Collaborate with analysts to deliver dynamic, user-friendly dashboards using React or BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker. Data Governance & Quality : Implement quality checks and governance standards to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance. Performance Tuning : Optimize query and pipeline performance across large datasets. Collaboration & Mentorship : Work closely with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to best practices. Innovation : Stay current with emerging trends in cloud, data, and software development — and apply them proactively. ✅ Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5 years in software/data engineering, with strong experience in data-intensive projects. Advanced Python skills for data processing and scripting. Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Databricks, or equivalent big data tools. Deep understanding of lakehouse and modern data architecture. Strong knowledge of cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Azure Synapse). Experience with storage systems (relational DBs, NoSQL, object storage like S3). Solid skills in SQL and query optimization. Familiarity with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow). Basic knowledge of API development and React for front-end dashboards. Experience with Git and CI/CD practices. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. ⭐ Preferred Skills Experience with Java or Scala. Multi-cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, or Kinesis.
