Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/26/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Description: Labor & Delivery Nurse (Night Shift) Location: Odessa, TX Schedule: Night Shift, 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45 – 07:15) Certifications Required: NRP, STABLE, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, ACLS We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a night shift role in Odessa, TX. This opportunity is ideal for a nurse with at least 2 years of L&D experience, including previous charge experience, who is confident managing a 1:2 patient ratio in a fast-paced environment. As part of our dedicated L&D team, you'll provide high-quality care during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum. You will manage both low- and high-risk deliveries, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support patient-centered care for mothers and newborns. Job Details Schedule & Shifts: Night Shift: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15) Block schedules: Not available Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years Labor & Delivery experience Previous Charge RN experience: Required Patient ratio experience: 1:2 Travel experience: Not required Certifications: Required: ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, BLS Preferred: STABLE Skills: Required/Preferred: Labor and delivery management including C-section recovery, vaginal and high-risk deliveries Use and interpretation of fetal monitoring (external/internal, IUPC) Administering magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, antihypertensives, and terbutaline Assist with OB procedures such as cervical cerclage, D&C, tubal ligation Postpartum care: hemorrhage management, cesarean recovery, PIH Neonatal care: APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, baby banding Strong IV/Phlebotomy skills including central and peripheral line care JobDiva Ref : 25-265174 Work Setting Experience (Preferred): 100–300 births/month High-risk antepartum Mother/Baby Labor & Delivery Medication Administration: Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, Anticonvulsants, Anticoagulants, Insulin Drips Pain management including PCA, Epidural, and General Anesthesia Facility Type: Community hospital with OB specialty care Observed Holidays: Shifts that fall between 7:00 PM the day before and 7:00 AM the day after the following holidays will be considered holiday shifts: Vaccination Requirements: COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required Flu Vaccine: Required (Exemptions allowed) About First Connect Health At First Connect Health , we take pride in being a Joint Commission–certified healthcare staffing agency , headquartered in Newark, New Jersey.
