Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - RRT Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 20 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (18:45 - 07:15) Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Required NC License and RRT Credentials Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP preferred Must-Have: EPIC Experience is required Experience in ER, Adult ICU, Med/Surg, and ICU/Stepdown Skills in Airway management, Medication Administration, Vent Management, ABGs, O2 Therapy, Suction, Pulmonary Toileting, Nebulizer, BiPAP, CPAP, Vest Therapy, Meta-neb, PAP therapy, and Heated High-flow Description: RTO after booking is NOT allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly result in a cancellation. The unit practices at the top of their license. Travelers will work in med/surg and ICU step-down units, possibly in the ED. Patient demographics range from adolescents to geriatrics. Staffing ratios are approximately 35-45 patients per day. Weekend shifts will be required—4 shifts within a 6-week timeframe. The unit utilizes special equipment including Servo I, Servo U, Hamilton T1, V60, Night-time VPAP, Omni-labs, V30s, and ABL90 ABG machine. Candidates must be comfortable floating within the facility. Travel pairs are allowed but must work on different units. Candidates must provide two manager or supervisor references from within the past 12 months. The ability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays is required. RTO of 7 days max can be auto-approved as long as it does not fall on a holiday. Candidates may float within the hospital based on their skill sets and census needs. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. No RTO is allowed during the first week of the assignment. Candidates must complete all necessary requirements before starting. Travelers cannot work more than 5 days in a row and/or more than 60 hours in a week. Modules must be completed pre-start and annually, varying by specialty.
