Job Title: X-Ray Technician Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: X-Ray Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred License: Valid Allied license required Certifications: ARRT R, BLS Must-Have: Experience with patient ratios of 1:1 preferred Previous charge experience preferred Community hospital experience preferred Trauma level experience preferred Description: The position requires an X-Ray Technician. The technician will perform imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols. Candidates should have experience with a variety of imaging techniques, including but not limited to abdomen decubitus, chest AP, and lumbar spine. Familiarity with charting systems, specifically Epic, is preferred. The work environment involves a daily census of 260 patients, with approximately 150 visits per day. The technician must be prepared to float within the facility as needed. A commitment to infection prevention and isolation precautions is essential. The technician should possess strong skills in radiation safety and contrast media administration. Interdisciplinary support teams will include IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams. The expected patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. All candidates should be aware of the need for flexibility in scheduling and availability for weekends. Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment are required for consideration. Modules will be completed pre-start and annually, with an average of 16 hours spent on training. Completion of modules is self-reported, and a record is maintained in the training transcripts.
