Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $1,786 per week

Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Springfield, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Monitor and assess adult patients with complex conditions requiring intermediate levels of care Provide care to post-cardiac cath, cardiac surgery, and medical-surgical patients with high acuity needs Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition using rapid clinical judgment Administer medications including vasoactive and cardiac drips (with and without titration) Perform and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia monitoring Manage a variety of lines and tubes: arterial lines, central lines, PICCs, chest tubes, surgical drains Start and maintain IVs; manage PCA pumps Provide oxygen therapy (NC, masks, HFNC, BIPAP/CPAP) Handle wound care and wound vacs Perform port access, phlebotomy, and administer blood products Work with interdisciplinary teams (IV Therapy, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, PT, Social Work) Actively participate in hand-offs, shift reports, and team huddles Collaborate with physicians to implement and monitor treatment plans Chart timely and accurately in Cerner EMR Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and clinical protocols Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and discharge care License: Active Illinois RN License Experience: Minimum 2 years in IMC/PCU/Stepdown, MS/Tele, or Cardiac Tele Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS About Nationwide Therapy Group NTG is a proud partner with healthcare professionals across the country.
