Travel Operating Room Surgical Technologist - $2,098 per week

Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel Surgical Technologist for a travel job in Springfield, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Surgical Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Prepare and maintain the surgical environment by setting up instruments, sterile fields, and necessary equipment prior to each case. Scrub in and actively assist surgeons during operative procedures across a variety of specialties including: Trauma (amputations, GSW, MVAs) Neurosurgery (craniotomies, fusions, laminectomies) Orthopedics (arthroscopies, fracture repairs) General Surgery (appendectomies, cholecystectomies, colon resections) Gynecology (hysterectomies, D&Cs, laparoscopic GYN cases) Urology (nephrectomies, cystoscopies) ENT , Plastics , Oral/Maxillofacial procedures Operate specialized surgical equipment including electrosurgical units, fiber optic lights, drills, and microscopes. Handle, label, and transport surgical specimens per hospital protocols. Follow all hospital safety protocols, including radiation, fire, sharps, and isolation precautions. Support emergency procedures and maintain readiness for high-acuity trauma cases. Float between ORs and other units or affiliated hospitals within scope of practice as required. Participate in emergency call rotations and fulfill on-call responsibilities as scheduled. Ensure proper documentation of all procedures using the Cerner EMR system. Maintain universal protocol compliance including proper time-out procedures. Support and assist with orientation of new staff and contribute to interdisciplinary care planning.
