Travel Medical Lab Technician - $1,900 per week

Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel Medical Lab Technician for a travel job in Meade, Kansas. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Medical Lab Technician Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 08/25/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Shift: 8-Hour Days (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday) On-Call Requirements: After-hours and weekend call rotation Minimum: 1–2 weekday calls, 1 weekend per month, rotating holidays Qualifications Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field (required) MLT certification (ASCP or equivalent) preferred or eligible within a specified timeframe Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call and weekends Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Commitment to professionalism and confidentiality Responsibilities Meet attendance and punctuality standards Adhere to hospital policies and procedures Maintain patient and system confidentiality Laboratory Testing Perform chemical analysis of body fluids (blood, urine, spinal fluid) Conduct automated/manual hematology testing, including blood cell counts and morphology Perform blood group, type, and compatibility testing for transfusions; record and enter results Conduct urinalysis and serology testing; document results per protocol Set up, read, and report results from bacteriological cultures Quality Control & Equipment Maintenance Perform quality control studies, document findings, and take corrective actions Record and monitor daily temperatures of instruments, refrigerators, freezers, and lab rooms Perform and document routine preventive maintenance on lab equipment Specimen Collection Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection as needed About Nationwide Therapy Group NTG is a proud partner with healthcare professionals across the country.
