Reworker/Metal Finisher

We are seeking a skilled Reworker / Metal Finisher to join our production team at our Port Elizabeth plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for reworking non-conforming panels to an acceptable level, ensuring product quality, and maintaining high standards of workmanship. This role reports to the Quality Control Supervisor. Key Responsibilities: Rework skin panels or weld splits to an acceptable level. Rework dents, burrs, end flanges, and splits on inner panels to an acceptable level. Ensure that parts are not damaged when packed back into carriers. Maintain housekeeping at the workstation. Ensure all reworked parts are free from file marks, buff-cuts, and rough polishing. Perform any functions of the job in own or lower grade as required. Comply with all safety rules and regulations. When working next to the production line, inspect parts for obvious defects. Requirements Ability to communicate in either English or Afrikaans. Minimum education: Standard 8. Ability to identify defects on products (including skin panels) and conduct inspections on completed reworks. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Previous panel beating or metal finishing experience. Competencies Attention to detail and quality workmanship. Ability to determine whether a part is reworkable. Commitment to safety and workplace organisation.
