Job Description
Main tasks: Work together with other teams to define, plan and implement SIGINT SW tools, algorithms and an end-to-end intelligence product for our client base using our in-house Quazar Electronics subsystem. Interface with clients to understand their needs, transforming them into requirements and delivering early releases to obtain feedback early on in the program. Lead the SIGINT payload development from conceptual idea to deployment in one of our next satellite launches in 2026. Lead the implementation of analytical software and algorithms to produce intelligence products that can be merged with TIR imaging data. Collaborate with the SW team to develop a testable and reconfigurable SW in space. Use your experience to scale up the solution from a single intelligence product to a product line. Lead the on-ground testing campaign of the SIGINT payload. Lead the in-orbit commissioning campaign using real scenarios (to achieve ground truth). Identify processes that can be automated or improved and work closely with the SW manager for its implementation. Work closely with the Business Development team to validate client’s intelligence products requirements against our standard intelligence products. Contribute to competitive EU, ESA, AEE, CDTI proposals, including development of specific tasks for the department. Tasks: Program Leadership: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of SIGINT payload development, from conceptual design to deployment and operational support. Technical Oversight: Provide expert guidance on the design and integration of SIGINT systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with mission requirements. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, operations, and analysis teams to align payload capabilities with overall system architecture and mission goals. Vendor and Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with external partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and integration of payload components. Performance Monitoring: Establish metrics and monitoring systems to assess payload performance, implementing improvements as necessary Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies in remote sensing, recommending and implementing advancements to enhance capabilities. Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate complex remote sensing concepts and findings to internal stakeholders and clients, facilitating informed decision-making. Requirements: Mandatory: Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Telecom Engineering or a related field Experience: Minimum of 5 years in SIGINT payload development or related roles, with a proven track record of successful project management. Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of RF systems, signal processing, and electronic warfare principles. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus Soft Skills: Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, in English; proficiency in Spanish or Catalan is beneficial. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment. Optionals: Experience with at least one SIGINT application, such as communications intelligence (COMINT) or electronic intelligence (ELINT). Familiarity with satellite payload integration processes. Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management tools. Professional experience in customer success, technical support, or a related field
