Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) – Perth, Scotland Base: Perth | Travel: Central Belt Salary: £35,000–£45,000 paid mileage CPD: 20 days per year Type: Full-time | Permanent Join a leading environmental consultancy working at the forefront of renewable energy, utilities, and residential development. We’re looking for a skilled Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) to support a growing portfolio of projects across Scotland’s Central Belt. This is a field-based role, ideally suited to someone based in or near Perth , with regular travel to wind, solar, utility, and housing sites. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring ecological compliance on active construction sites, advising contractors and clients, and safeguarding habitats and protected species. Key Responsibilities: Deliver on-site ecological supervision and monitoring for construction projects Provide clear, practical ecological advice to site teams and stakeholders Ensure compliance with legislation, planning conditions, and mitigation measures Record and report ecological observations, incidents, and recommendations Liaise confidently with clients, contractors, regulators, and internal teams About You: Several years of experience in a similar ECoW or ecological monitoring role Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and ecological mitigation practices Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Comfortable working independently in dynamic site environments Full, clean UK driving licence is essential On Offer: Competitive salary: £35,000–£45,000, depending on experience Paid mileage for all work-related travel Flexible working patterns for example, 9 day fortnight or condensed hours 20 days CPD annually to support your professional growth Supportive, specialist team environment Opportunity to work on impactful renewable energy and infrastructure projects To apply , please send your CV and a short cover letter outlining your experience to Connor Sandison, Eden Scott
