Production Manager

We’re Hiring! Production Manager for ECOPET Europa – Catalonia ECOPET Europa is expanding its team in Catalonia. We’re looking for an experienced Production Manager with a background in plastic recycling to help us grow sustainably in one of Europe’s most dynamic regions. Our Products: We manufacture food-grade plastic packaging using partially recycled materials, both with and without absorbent pads, specifically designed for the meat industry. We also produce film for thermoforming trays, giving us a fully integrated, closed-loop production cycle . We operate throughout Spain and are ready to work for export markets. Our sales include clients in Portugal and South America. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily manufacturing operations of PET-based thermoformed packaging Manage, monitor, and optimise the performance of thermoforming machines and related production lines Coordinate production planning in line with sales forecasts and client orders Ensure that all manufacturing processes meet food-grade safety standards, quality specifications, and internal KPIs Lead and train production teams to ensure efficiency, safety, and product consistency Collaborate closely with the Sales, Logistics, and Quality Control departments to ensure seamless workflow and timely delivery Maintain and troubleshoot production machinery to minimise downtime Analyse production data and generate reports for continuous improvement and cost control Requirements: Proven experience (3 years) as a Production Manager or similar in a manufacturing environment, desirably in food-grade PET packaging Hands-on experience with thermoforming machines is essential; experience with film extrusion is a plus Solid knowledge of production planning, machine operation, and maintenance Strong understanding of hygiene, food safety, and quality control protocols Ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced industrial environment Organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Familiarity with ERP/production planning tools and manufacturing KPIs Fluent Spanish (English desirable) Compensation: We offer an attractive salary , competitive and dependent on experience.
