Back End Developer

Job Description

We are hiring a Backend Developer to help us complete and scale the technical core of the Athlera platform – a next-generation AI-driven system for movement, health, and performance. You will work alongside AI engineers and product teams to ensure that data flows, APIs, integrations, and system logic are robust, secure, and ready for enterprise use. This role is central to delivering a production-ready platform to our customers, and will involve building internal infrastructure, external interfaces, and supporting real-world use cases in training, health, and rehabilitation. Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and document RESTful APIs and backend services Implement core logic and data pipelines that power the Athlera platform Design and maintain integrations with cloud services and external systems Ensure performance, scalability, and security across the backend Work closely with AI engineers to support model integration and data flow Collaborate with frontend developers to connect backend with user-facing features Help define and maintain system architecture and deployment pipelines Troubleshoot bugs, optimize performance, and contribute to continuous improvement Qualifications Strong programming skills in Python or Node.js (other backend languages also considered) Experience designing and building REST APIs or GraphQL endpoints Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Firebase) Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or similar) and containerized deployment (e.g., Docker) Understanding of Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and version control Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines Bonus: Experience integrating AI/ML models into production systems Bonus: Experience in health tech, sports tech, or similar domains What we offer Key role in shaping the backend of a cutting-edge AI platform Flexible work setup (remote or hybrid) A collaborative, international, and product-focused team The opportunity to work on technology that impacts real users in meaningful ways How to apply Send your application through LinkedIn or reach out directly at post@athlera.com We are actively reviewing applications and looking for people who want to build something real, fast, and scalable.
