Under our New Track and Services Division and its commitment with a low carbon economy, the team is focused on the development of engineering services related to the Steel Sector and their needs. We are looking for candidates for the position of Mechanical Equipment - Leader, with at least 15 years of demonstrable experience in machinery and equipment (Gas Turbines, Steam Turbine Generators, Boilers, Condensers, Compressors, Pumps,….) and suitable to work in a multicultural environment for Power Generation Projects. Within technical skills, the Mechanical Equipment Leader shall be able to supervise and develop activities for design, selection, and documentation follow up, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of equipment and packages managed by Mechanical Department, ensuring the compliance with the QA/QC and HSE requirements. Within the management skills, the Mechanical Equipment – Leader shall be able to provide general working guidelines, personal advising and motivation as well as organize manpower for the Project, scheduling the planned activities as the final responsible of quality, delivery time and resources optimization. Qualifications and desired attributes: Mechanical degree. Provide technical support during bidding phase Review technical tender documentation Prepare and supervise technical documentation for inquiry Review and make technical evaluation of machinery bids received by Vendors Define cost evaluation for machinery and other equipment related to Machinery department Define engineering requirements and interface with other disciplines. Optimize engineering standards while ensuring minimal cost and simplification in compliance with the required performance Prepare and supervise technical documentation for requisitions (e.g. technical supply specification, mechanical data sheets) Support and supervise technical negotiation with vendors. Review and supervise subcontracted discipline engineering documents Prepare and supervise technical tabulation and technical evaluation for any type of equipment submitted by Vendors After order award: follow-up and supervise engineering activities and interface assigned machinery equipment/package included in purchase orders Review and supervise mark-up comments and finalize all vendor drawings, interfacing with other process or technical disciplines Attend to internal review activities and participate to inter-discipline review meetings Participate, request collaboration and supervise collaboration from disciplines to perform engineering activities (e.g. utilities and electrical load list, layouts, 3D, routings) Provide support and coordinate expediting and testing activities Provide support, supervise and follow up document management and certified final documentation Provide Project´s support on Procurement and Construction when necessary. Provide support to define Equipment construction inspection plan and during preparation of equipment weights and dimensions to assist Construction activities, as well as all the requirements for Mechanical Handling , RAM , ECA or any other reliability activities. Development and promote Technology know how Supervise and coordinate Mechanical Discipline in a Project. Site attendance for advising on installation, commissioning, maintenance and operation of rotating machinery. Prepare workload manpower and activities planning schedule.
