Job Description

We're looking for a Caretaker to join our Norwich Schools PFI team based in Norwich. Location: Norwich, Heartsease Primary School. Hours: 40 hours What will you be responsible for? As a Caretaker, you'll be working within the Norwich Schools PFI team, supporting them in delivering high-quality facilities management services across school sites. Your day to day will include: Carrying out planned and remedial maintenance tasks, including fire alarm testing, water temperature checks, and shower head cleaning, Liaising with the Facilities Coordinator and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations and compliance, Conducting weekly internal and external building inspections and reporting issues, Providing hosting services and room setups for meetings, Supporting with furniture moves, ad hoc tasks, and holiday/sickness cover for caretaking and cleaning staff. This role of Caretaker is great for you if: You have previous experience in caretaking or handyman duties and hold a clean driving license, You are physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks safely, You are calm, adaptable, and committed to delivering excellent customer service.
