Sub Agent

Our client is a well-established and respected civil engineering contractor. Due to a growing portfolio of secured work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Sub Agent to join their team on a major project based in the Highlands. Please note: This is a permanent position, and candidates will be expected to relocate if not already based in the area. Sponsorship is not available for this role. Role Overview: As Sub Agent, you’ll play a key role in the delivery of complex civil engineering works, supporting the Site Agent and project team in managing site operations, ensuring works are carried out safely, on time, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: • Assist in the planning and delivery of works in line with programme and budget • Oversee site activities and supervise engineers, subcontractors, and operatives • Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with health & safety regulations • Coordinate with the design and commercial teams to resolve technical issues • Monitor progress and report to the Site Agent and Project Manager • Contribute to quality assurance and environmental compliance on site • Maintain accurate site records and documentation Requirements: • Proven experience as a Sub Agent or Senior Engineer on civil engineering projects • HND or degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications • Experience across sectors such as highways, water, earthworks, or structures What’s on Offer: • Opportunity to work with a leading civil engineering contractor • Long-term pipeline of challenging and rewarding projects • Competitive salary and benefits package • Career progression and development support Construction and Property Recruitment Ltd is a recruitment business which provides work-finding services to its clients and work-seekers.
