Job Description
Lead Materials Controller (Bridgwater Office, Bristol Offices, Site Office and Home occasional travels) Main Responsibilities • Lead a team of approximately 8 people • Plan and coordinate team's work to meet programme needs • Ensure timely purchasing to align with programme needs • Take ownership and implement agreed upon purchasing strategies • Develop and manage category initiatives and budget forecasting within SAP • Maintain communication with suppliers and commercial team throughout procurement process • Actively manage procurement from order placement to invoice payment • Collaborate with various teams to ensure consistent supply of quality materials • Monitor purchase orders and maintain compliance • Drive on-time delivery for all external purchases • Create and manage purchase requisitions and orders using AS9 purchasing system • Maintain accurate and organised purchasing document packs for audits • Assist with follow-up and information requests from requesters Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience • Previous experience in a leadership role • Background in engineering, commercial, or supply chain • Undergraduate degree in engineering, commercial, supply chain, or business • Strong attention to detail and goal-oriented mindset • Proficiency with analytical tools • Ability to address and resolve supplier issues and delays • Skilled in building consensus and engaging stakeholders at all levels • Ability to provide innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment • Proficient in Office 365 tools such as Excel and Word • Comfortable following processes with a curious mindset.
