Job Description

Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide high-quality care to patients by performing a wide range of medical services, including diagnosing and treating illnesses, conducting physical exams, prescribing medications, and managing patient care plans. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, a commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain detailed patient histories.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, including illnesses, infections, and injuries.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and other treatments in accordance with state regulations.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment options.
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and prescriptions.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
- Advocate for patient needs and preferences, ensuring culturally competent care.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families.
- Stay current with advancements in medical practice through ongoing professional development and continuing education
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.
- Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state
- At least 2-3 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred.
- Experience in Oral Surgery is a plus.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Certifications:
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner in a relevant specialty area (e.g., FNP, ANP, PNP).
- BLS/ACLS certification required.
