The Role This position sits within the firm’s Residential Property department and has come about due to a planned retirement. You will inherit a broad and well-maintained caseload, with access to robust systems and a reliable support team. Ideal for a conveyancer with a minimum of 5 years’ solid experience — though 10 years would be advantageous — this is a client-facing role requiring a confident, personable and solution-focused approach. The Team & Culture You will join a friendly and collaborative property team consisting of three experienced fee earners, supported by capable secretarial and administrative staff. Key Responsibilities Managing a varied caseload of residential property matters from start to finish, including: Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases Remortgages Transfers of equity Lease extensions Equity release transactions Advising a loyal client base across individual buyers/sellers, investors, and portfolio clients Supporting wider teams (e.g., Private Client and Litigation) with property-related matters such as probate sales and enforcement issues Ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements and firm standards Candidate Profile The successful candidate will: Be a qualified Solicitor, Licenced Conveyancer or Chartered Legal Executive Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience handling residential conveyancing transactions (10 years ideal) Be confident running a caseload independently with minimal supervision Have excellent interpersonal and client-care skills Thrive in a collaborative, respectful and down-to-earth working culture What’s on Offer Hybrid working : 2–3 days from home Genuine flexibility and trust in your professional autonomy Strong support infrastructure : Experienced secretarial and admin support Attractive salary , negotiable depending on experience Performance-based bonus for exceeding target Collegiate culture with long-standing staff and low turnover Opportunity for long-term stability and internal progression where desired Location The role is based in the firm’s central Surrey office, close to transport links and town centre amenities.
