The Role: Back-End Developer As a Back-End Developer, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to build and maintain API-driven back-end systems that power the entire platform. Your work will directly impact the experience of thousands of users and help travel companies scale efficiently. This is a fully remote role aligned to UK working hours (9am5:30pm). Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and enhance the Node.js API and supporting back-end systems Collaborate with front-end and mobile developers to design and deliver scalable features Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code Optimise application performance and debug complex issues Participate in architecture discussions and continuously improve system design Work effectively with a globally distributed team across time zones About You 5 years of back-end development experience Strong experience with Node.js and building RESTful APIs Proficient in performance optimisation and server-side logic Comfortable with tools and tech including Git, Linux, MySQL, MongoDB Atlas, JIRA, PM2, Debian Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or similar platforms Bonus: Experience with schema-based validation (OpenAPI) Bonus: Exposure to mobile applications or high-scale systems Basic knowledge of React is advantageous for team collaboration Strong communicator with a passion for clean code and long-term maintainability Ready to be part of a travel tech company thats scaling fast and thinking big?
