Job Description

We are seeking six Behaviour Support Workers to support young children aged 4-16 with a range of needs, including Autism and/or Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) in Sunderland. This role involves working closely with a small group of students who may find it difficult to engage in a traditional classroom setting. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, adaptable, and resilient, with experience in fast-paced environments and a strong commitment to supporting young people with additional needs. Responsibilities: Providing 1:1 or small group behaviour support for pupils struggling with regulation Being a consistent, encouraging adult pupils can rely on day to day Helping students build trust, resilience, and emotional confidence Supporting the class teacher in creating a structured, calm learning environment Requirements: • Experience working in an SEMH or similar environment • Patience, resilience, and a commitment to making a positive impact • A desire for a long-term role with the potential for permanent employment We offer all our registered candidates FREE safeguarding training.
