CAD Technician

Reporting directly to the Senior Engineering Manager the CAD Technician will be responsible for creating technical drawings and plans for existing and future residential housing sites. From initial appraisals to final design, you will support the engineering team by presenting their designs in the form of drawings. This CAD Technician role is vital to the growth of this developer as they look to add to their team in central Scotland and represents a promising opportunity for anyone in the region looking to take a step up and showcase their talent with this award-winning luxury brand. Key duties as CAD Technician will include: Produce accurate technical drawings and computations as required. Liaising with statutory bodies to obtain relevant technical consents. Attending internal design review meetings. Assisting with the preparation of calculations. Liaising with site staff and the design team, representing the business in a professional and courteous manner. Meeting agreed deadlines and ensuring outputs meet the required quality and consistency standards. Maintain and organise drawing files, ensuring proper version control and easy access to information. Supporting the administration of projects. Adhering to health & safety regulations. Dealing with technical and construction queries in a timely manner. Skills we are looking for: Proven experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software is essential. Experience in housebuilding is preferable, whether from an office or site background, and ideally with knowledge in both civil engineering and utilities but this is not essential. Self-motivated with an eye for consistency and accuracy of information. Good document management habits will be required to ensure our construction teams are working with relevant and current information.
