Head of Learning and Development Location: Yorkshire & North East (Regional role with hybrid/flexible working) Salary: £55,000 – £70,000 DOE Car Allowance Benefits Sector: Health & Social Care Are you passionate about people development and creating a culture of continuous learning? We are working with a growing care provider to recruit a dynamic and forward-thinking Head of Learning and Development to lead the L&D strategy across their services in Yorkshire and the North East . This is a key leadership role, responsible for shaping and delivering a high-impact learning and development programme that supports workforce capability, compliance, and retention across all levels of the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and oversee the organisation’s learning and development strategy across all services. Lead on the development and delivery of mandatory training, induction, and role-specific development pathways. Identify skills gaps and design targeted training interventions that support quality care delivery and service growth. Work closely with operations, quality, and HR teams to ensure training aligns with regulatory requirements and organisational priorities. Develop leadership and succession planning programmes to build future talent from within. Evaluate training effectiveness and impact, reporting outcomes to the senior leadership team. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in a senior L&D role within the health or social care sector. Strong understanding of CQC training requirements and care workforce development needs. Skilled in designing and delivering engaging, adult-focused training content. Experience in implementing e-learning and blended learning approaches. A confident communicator who can build relationships across all levels of the business. A recognised training qualification (e.g., CIPD, L&D Level 5 or above) is desirable.
