Abattoir Site Manager

Are you an experienced leader in meat processing or food production? We are seeking a dedicated Site Manager to take charge of operations at a well-established, local abattoir. Key Responsibilities: - Lead day-to-day operations of the abattoir ensuring compliance with all regulatory and food safety standards - Manage and motivate a skilled team, promoting a safe and productive working environment - Oversee throughput, yields, costs, and efficiency across the site - Ensure high standards of animal welfare, hygiene, and traceability - Liaise with suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies - Drive continuous improvement across all aspects of the site What Were Looking For: - Proven experience in abattoir or meat processing management - Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills - In-depth knowledge of food safety (HACCP), health & safety, and compliance regulations - Animal Welfare. - Ability to work under pressure and meet operational targets - A hands-on and solution-oriented approach Package: - Competitive salary up to £70,000 per annum - Opportunity to lead a respected local business - Supportive working environment with long-term prospects - Attractive pension and other benefits ?? This is a Monday - Friday operation, however a flexible approach will be required in the event of meeting suppliers during a weekend if needed.
