VIEW FULL JOB DESCRIPTION: Compliance Assistant | Prestigious Law Firm | Wimbledon (SW19) | up to £30k | office-based A prestigious law firm is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Compliance Assistant to join their compliance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a compliance professional with a strong background in legal services to play a key role in client onboarding, with a focus on client due diligence (CDD) and anti-money laundering (AML) compliance. Working closely with the Senior Onboarding Executive and AML team, you will carry out in-depth CDD/AML checks, assess client risk profiles, investigate business structures, and maintain up-to-date records in line with UK regulatory standards. This role will also contribute to the ongoing improvement of onboarding processes across residential property teams initially in Wimbledon, with plans to extend firmwide. You’ll be expected to communicate effectively with clients, guiding them through CDD/AML requirements while maintaining a high standard of professionalism. The ability to work independently, manage risk, and demonstrate strong regulatory knowledge within a legal context is essential. Key Requirements: Proven experience in client onboarding, CDD, and AML within the legal sector Strong understanding of UK AML regulations and compliance practices Excellent written and verbal communication skills Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills Ability to build client relationships while ensuring compliance standards are met Proficiency with legal practice management systems (desirable) Bachelor’s degree required This role offers a chance to contribute meaningfully to compliance best practices while working in a supportive and reputable legal environment.
