Financial Manager (JB5525) Roodepoort, Johannesburg (on-site) R50 R70 000 CTC per month Permanent A well-established courier and freight forwarding company is seeking an experienced and hands-on Financial Manager to lead its finance department and oversee a small but efficient finance team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, youll be responsible for the full financial management function across two companies, including cashflow planning, supplier management, risk oversight, and team leadership. This role is ideal for someone coming from a corporate FMCG or logistics background, with a strong operational focus and the ability to work across multiple financial workstreams. No sign-off duties are required, but experience managing high-volume accounts and ensuring strong financial controls is key. Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Registered SAIPA member 5 years in a financial management role Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, courier, or FMCG sectors highly advantageous Strong experience in cashflow forecasting, supplier follow-ups, and financial risk management Ability to lead and mentor a small finance team Proficient in Xero, Microsoft Office Suite, Slack and Notion Excellent communication skills for supplier liaison and internal reporting Based in or able to commute to Roodepoort, Johannesburg Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee the full finance function across multiple companies Lead and mentor the finance team (AR Clerks, AP Clerk, Cashbook Clerk, Junior Bookkeeper) Manage and monitor company cashflow, payments, and financial performance Liaise directly with key local and international suppliers Ensure financial controls, reconciliations, and compliance procedures are in place Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting to the CEO Identify and manage financial risks across operational functions Drive process improvements and automation within the finance function Work closely with logistics and operations for financial alignment Please do not apply using Scanned CVs, no supporting documentation is required at this point, this will be requested later.
