A leading onshore energy operator is looking for a Maintenance Coordinator to lead mechanical maintenance activities across a portfolio of assets in North Holland. This is a high-visibility role in a fast-paced operational environment, ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of planning, leadership, and hands-on technical expertise. What You’ll Do You will be responsible for preparing, coordinating, and optimizing both preventive and corrective maintenance activities. You’ll take the lead on campaign maintenance efforts, turnarounds (TARs), and day-to-day mechanical work. You’ll supervise a fixed team of technicians and subcontractors while ensuring the safe, efficient execution of work on static and rotating equipment, piping, and pressure vessels. This role requires a proactive coordinator who can navigate between the planning office, the field, and the control room—translating work plans into safe and successful execution. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed work packs for complex mechanical activities and turnarounds Supervise and support a team of mechanical technicians and external contractors Coordinate with operations and planning teams during weekly scheduling Improve and maintain the preventive maintenance system in Maximo Review and track vendor reports and create follow-up work orders Conduct site visits, QA/QC checks, and ensure compliance with safety protocols Support the 3M planning process and identify opportunities for efficiency Lead modifications and minor projects; mark up and verify technical drawings Report daily progress, close work orders, and manage material requisitions What You Bring BSc or HTS/MTS in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field 5–10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance coordination Strong knowledge of campaign maintenance in industrial environments (Oil & Gas preferred) Expertise with static and rotating equipment, piping systems, and pressure vessels Familiarity with NDT methods and inspection protocols Solid experience using CMMS tools (Maximo preferred) Leadership skills to guide technicians, vendors, and subcontractors A safety-first mindset and understanding of HSE leadership principles Based in the Netherlands Why This Role?
