Junior Production Manager (Tulbagh)

Our client, an established core- and stone fruit producer located in Tulbagh , has the above-mentioned position available. The successful candidate is eager to learn, enthusiastic about agriculture production, and ready to take on new challenges in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): * Manage productivity & quality of workers *Daily team performance processing & reporting Identify problems, errors, and handle the correction thereof *Receive daily instructions and execute them *Organize and monitor workers, harvesting, irrigation, fertilization, and piecework *Recordkeeping of work activities and assist with time studies during piecework planning *Pest monitoring in orchards *General farm maintenance *Install new irrigation blocks according to plan *All other tasks related to this position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: Matric; Postgraduate qualification in Agriculture is beneficial, but not a requirement; Knowledge/practical background in soft fruit farming; PVC pipe gluing/faucet building; Mechanical knowledge will be advantageous; Good admin and communication skills (English and Afrikaans) Valid heavy vehicle license (C1).
