RF Technician

An organisation in Pretoria which is responsible for manufacturing electronic equipment for the mining industry has a vacancy for a RF Technician. The successful candiate should have experience in low frequency (MF) electronics, can test and fault find and repair PCBs. Mix of digital and RF technologies. Test, repair of PCBs to component level. Assemble, build and wire radio systems panels. Assist Clients both locally and internationally. Field service, breakdown emergencies, travelling locally and abroad. Use of and building test jigs for improvement testing. Test, debug, optimize and qualify prototype designs. Matric. Electronic Engineer degree or similar. 3-5 years experience on Medium Frequency, and Radio Frequency down to component level. Fault Finding on electronic PCB's, sub systems and systems. Coil and board tuning, board testing. Ability to use RF testing equipment and procedures such as Oscillioscopes, Signal Gen, DMM and others. Understand, interpret and use PCB circuits, BOMs and layout. Knowledge of radio technology, receivers, transmitters, ATU ect. Previous experience in liasing with Clients.
