JOB- Senior Mechanical Design Engineer LOCATION- Wakefield TERM- Permanent SALARY- £40,000 to £60,000 per annum (plus benefits) Premier Engineering is working with a leading engineering company based in Wakefield who are looking to hire a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing design team. The company specialises in delivering complex mechanical systems and equipment across a range of sectors. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: Degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related field Several years of experience in a mechanical design engineering role Strong 3D CAD skills (e.g. SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar ) Experience designing complex assemblies and machinery Good understanding of manufacturing processes , materials, and tolerances Knowledge of FEA or other analysis tools Strong problem-solving and project management skills Excellent communication and teamwork skills The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve: Leading and managing design projects from concept to completion Producing detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings Liaising with internal teams, suppliers, and clients Reviewing and improving existing designs for performance and manufacturability Supporting prototyping, testing, and validation activities Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and salary expectations.
