Quality Assurance Specialist (Automation)

How you'll role A short-term insurance company, blending tech innovation with a mission to make insurance simple, transparent, and accessible, is on the lookout for a Quality Assurance Specialist (Automation) who loves clean code, scalable systems, and the thrill of catching bugs before anyone else does. If automation is your happy place and youve got a nose for quality, you might just be the missing piece in our growing tech puzzle. What you'll do Automate all the things, from test scripts to frontend flows in React Native (Detox) and web (Selenium) Build and maintain unit tests in Node.js using Jest, Sinon, and Chai Join forces with developers to unpack new features and boost test coverage Dive into code reviews with a QA lens to improve testability Create and manage test documentation, bug reports, and result logs Continuously improve and scale automation frameworks Stay sharp with new trends in testing tech and methodologies Contribute to our CI/CD processes to maintain high release quality Be a champion for product excellence, because good enough just isnt enough What you'll need BSc in Computer Science, BCom in Applied Information Systems, or related field Proficiency in JavaScript with experience in frontend and backend testing Experience with tools like Selenium, Detox, Jest, Sinon, Chai Git and version control familiarity Prior hands-on exposure to automated testing Experience in a tech QA environment (preferred) Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Excellent communication and team collaboration skills Self-driven with the ability to meet deadlines independently
