Multi-Skilled Engineer - Night Shift | FMCG Manufacturing Location: Diss, Suffolk Salary: £50 - £55k Shifts: 4 on / 4 off | 12-hour night shifts Compass Point Recruitment is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our client's fast-paced production site. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving all site machinery and systems to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency. Working as part of a collaborative engineering team, your role is key to the success of our 24/7 operation. Responsibilities: Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to keep production running smoothly Responding to breakdowns, fault-finding, and ensuring minimal downtime Ensuring all work meets Health & Safety, Quality, and Food Safety standards Completing clear and accurate maintenance records and handovers Using the Pirana CMMS system to track and improve maintenance history Supporting continuous improvement across the site and engineering department Promoting excellent housekeeping and teamwork throughout the factory Experience & Skills: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (e.g. BTEC, ONC) A strong background in FMCG maintenance engineering, ideally within food production Confidence with fault finding, problem solving, and working under pressure A solid understanding of HACCP and ideally the 17th Edition Wiring Regs A great attitude, clear communication, and the drive to keep learning Benefits: £50,000 - £55,000 basic salary Overtime available 28 days holiday per year Annual profit-related bonus Long service awards Training and development If you're interested and have all the skills - apply today
