Job Title: Cover Supervisor Location: Sheffield (S11) Salary: Up to £110 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time Are you confident, adaptable, and enthusiastic about making a difference in the classroom? GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Cover Supervisor to support schools in the S11 area of Sheffield. This is a great opportunity for those looking to gain hands-on classroom experience or continue their work in education. Role Overview: As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure a productive classroom environment in the absence of the regular class teacher. Your role will be vital in supporting students’ learning and maintaining high standards of behaviour. Key Responsibilities of Cover Supervisor: Supervise classes and ensure pupils stay on task during lessons. Deliver pre-set work and clarify instructions as needed. Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies. Report back to teaching staff with any issues or progress noted. Support the school’s ethos and uphold safeguarding procedures. Candidate Requirements: Previous school or youth work experience is desirable. Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills. Ability to work calmly under pressure. A flexible approach and willingness to contribute positively. Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
