Pay Information $2,414 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Operating Room Profession: RN Surgery Specialty: RN Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 8 hours (3:00 PM - 10:00 PM) Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current and valid state RN License Certifications: Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. Current ACLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current. Current PALS (AHA) certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current. Must-Have: Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on-the-job training. Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification preferred. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Pre/Post Operative experience. Description: RN OR needed for 8-hour shifts Monday - Friday from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Call is required. No exceptions. The nurse must come with experience. Staff RN is directly accountable to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, and indirectly to the House Supervisor. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and older adults. The Registered Nurse coordinates the care of the patient with the surgeon and anesthesiologist. Directs and guides the OR Technician and other personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Works with other departments to provide a continuum of care and collaborates with co-workers to ensure continuous, quality patient care, efficient patient flow, and unit maintenance and organization. Responsible for adherence to regulations, standards, and hospital or unit policies and procedures. Participates in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services. Acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate. Must be able to take call.
