Grounds Operative – Norwich City Centre £12.60 per hour | ⏰ 37 hours per week | 5 days out of 7 (weekend flexibility required) Full-Time | Temp to Perm | Immediate Start Gap Personnel is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-respected client based in Norwich City Centre for a full-time Grounds Operative. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity to join a service-driven, environmentally focused team committed to maintaining and improving local green spaces and public areas. About the Role: You’ll be working as part of an active grounds maintenance team, supporting the upkeep of: Parks and open spaces Housing estates Highway verges and communal areas This is a hands-on, physical role that offers training across multiple areas, including: Grass cutting Hedge and shrub trimming Litter picking Use of grounds maintenance tools and equipment Key Duties: Perform general grounds maintenance (e.g. pruning, mowing, hedge cutting) Carry out basic care and maintenance of tools and machinery Drive vehicles across sites (must hold a valid UK driving licence) Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed Accurately complete paperwork and site records Assist with any other duties as requested by the team leader ✅ What You’ll Need: Valid UK driving licence (essential due to nature of the role) Previous experience in grounds maintenance, gardening, landscaping or similar Good attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills Flexibility to work weekends as part of a rota Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weathers What’s in it for You?
