Management Accountant

Management Accountant Location: Outskirts Ipswich Full-time, 37 hours per week An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and technically strong Management Accountant to join a close-knit finance team. This is a key role providing accurate and timely financial information to support operational decision-making and process improvement. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT returns, and cash flow projections. You will also support budgeting processes, liaise with budget holders, and assist with financial audits. You will play a crucial role in refining processes and delivering insightful financial analysis. This is a hands-on role, suited to someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and contributing to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Preparation of monthly management accounts and trial balances Month-end processes including accruals, prepayments, and forecasting Monitoring and analysis of financial variances Balance sheet reconciliations and audit support Preparation of VAT returns and compliance with accounting standards Financial support for budget holders and project initiatives Fee income reconciliation and oversight of international agent fees You will be part-qualified in ACA, ACCA or CIMA and have a strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and core accounting principles.
