Job Description
Transport Administrator / Assistant Location: Bedlington Full-time | Permanent | Some Saturday work required Are you highly organised with great communication skills? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working as part of a team? We’re currently seeking a Transport Administrator/Assistant to join a busy transport and logistics department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in transport operations or administration who’s looking to take the next step in their career. Key Responsibilities * Handling incoming customer calls and taking orders * Accurately entering orders into the Purgo system * Assisting the Accounts team in resolving invoice queries * Coordinating with customers for skip collections or exchanges * Referring new account enquiries to the Sales team * Managing skip permit applications and renewals with local authorities * Monitoring and resolving issues on the Purgo issue board * General administrative duties including filing and record keeping What We’re Looking For * Previous experience in a transport or logistics office * Proficient in Microsoft Office, email systems, and databases * Strong organisational skills and attention to detail * Excellent verbal and written communication * Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure * A team player with a proactive and professional approach Additional Requirements * Good standard of literacy and numeracy * Willingness to work flexibly, including occasional Saturdays If you're motivated, reliable, and ready to contribute to a fast-moving logistics team, we’d love to hear from you
