Job Description
Document Controller – Fit-Out & Interiors About the Company: A growing and well-established fit-out contractor is looking for a detail-oriented Document Controller to join their office-based team in Essex. Operating across commercial and residential interiors, the business works with major contractors on high-quality projects throughout London and the South East. The Role: This is a great opportunity for someone with strong organisation skills and experience using Aconex or Asite. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing project documentation, ensuring the wider team always works with accurate, up-to-date information. Key Responsibilities: Set up and manage project folders, drawings, and documentation using Aconex or Asite Maintain document version control and ensure timely distribution to relevant parties Track technical submissions, QA documents, RAMS, and compliance records Support project managers and site teams with document-related queries Assist with onboarding paperwork, audit logs, and completion handover files Keep registers, transmittals, and filing systems up to date and accessibleWhat You’ll Need: Experience as a Document Controller within construction or interiors Familiarity with Aconex or Asite (essential) Confidence working with drawings, RAMS, QA paperwork, and subcontractor info Strong communication and attention to detail Comfortable working from the Essex office full-time (with flexibility where needed)What’s on Offer: Competitive salary – dependent on experience Long-term permanent role with room to grow Supportive team and exposure to top-tier projects Training and development available in systems and compliance
