Job Title: HGV Class 1 Truck Driver (Flatbed / Box / Curtain / Refrigerated Trailers) Location: Rugby Job Type: Full-Time Salary: Days:£16.00/hour Nights:£17.00/hour Weekends (Sat & Sun):£19.00/hour Overview We are currently seeking experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Truck Drivers to join our team. This position is offering consistent work, competitive pay, and varied trailer work including box trailers, refrigeration units, and curtain side trailers. Shift Details Average Shift Duration: 11 hours Start Times: Evening: 16:00 00:00 Morning: 02:00 11:00 Movements per Shift: 24 trailer movements Trailer Types: Flatbed, Box, Refrigerated, Curtain Side Key Responsibilities Operate Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently. Perform 24 deliveries or collections per shift. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks. Load and secure cargo when necessary. Complete and maintain delivery paperwork and logs. Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and HGV driving regulations. Communicate clearly with dispatch regarding any issues, delays, or incidents. Requirements Valid UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence Minimum 12 months of recent Class 1 driving experience Strong knowledge of UK road laws and safe driving practices Ability to handle physical aspects of the role, including securing loads Flexibility to work various start times, including nights and weekends Strong work ethic and reliability Why Work With Us?
