You will work closely with Business Development Managers, brokers, and internal teams to ensure sound credit decisions that align with both customer needs and the business’s risk appetite. Key Responsibilities: * Manage the whole process from application to drawdown * Assess and underwrite commercial finance applications in line with company policies and procedures * Complete detailed due diligence and risk analysis for new and existing proposals * Liaise with brokers and internal teams to gather additional information and provide underwriting support * Prepare thorough credit papers and present cases to the credit committee when required * Work collaboratively with BDMs and sales support to ensure smooth customer journeys * Maintain strong awareness of industry trends and evolving risk factors Ideal Candidate Profile: * Previous experience in commercial term underwriting within the specialist finance or lending sector * Strong analytical and credit assessment skills * Cemap is desired, although not essential * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment * A team player with a can-do attitude and a passion for getting the right outcome for clients and the business * Knowledge of bridging, development, or commercial mortgages is required Why Join?
